Durst now offers a glass decoration system for use with its Rho flatbed printers. The system features organic Sol-Gel ink chemistry which has excellent adhesion and resistance characteristics.
The system offers the user exceptional flexibility. It is capable of full scale production runs of interior fittings for large retail chains or glass furniture, for example, and is also able to produce one-offs and prototypes, such as boutique interiors or temporary outdoor signs.

With a Durst Rho printer at the heart of the system, you are assured of the highest productivity and the finest quality print, included pin sharp text as small as 4pt and the option of White and Satinato ink.
The components of the system comprise the special organic UV ink system, the printing system, typically the Durst Rho 700 or Rho 800, and the drying system. These can then be incorporated into a complete manufacturing production line.

Durst Organic Glass Ink offers brilliant colour reproduction, very fine definition and excellent resistance characteristics to abrasion and a wide range of chemicals.
To achieve perfect results the glass needs to be printed on the non-tinned side and prepared by cleaning with Acetone (99.5%) to ensure that there is no dust, finger prints or other chemicals that will inhibit adhesion.
Finally the printed glass needs to be heated to 200°C for 10 minutes.
