A Family Affair

The roots of our company go back to 1936, when a young gentleman from Germany arrived in Cape Town, and established an import company, inter alia supplying chemicals and inks to the printing industry.

In 1980 after many decades of successful trading, the company was purchased by Mr. Hans Vogt. During a period of re-organization and renaming, present day Colorscreen emerged.

In 1984 daughter Elke, a qualified photo-laboratory technician, joined the company, and son Dirk, after having completed 4 years of studies in mechanical engineering in Europe, joined Colorscreen in 1996. Son Michael (pharmacist) assists from a distance in an advisory capacity in matters of management.

A family business, however, cannot exist and flourish without the support of loyal, dedicated and knowledgeable staff.
